Piero Dalle Pezze
First author of two Atlas modelling studies: the dynamic insulin–mTOR network model (TSC-independent mTORC2) and the systems study of concurrent AMPK and mTOR activation by amino acids.
Lead Bioinformatics Engineer, Genomics England (since 2024, per theorg.com) · bioinformatics software engineer, Congenica · postdoc, Le Novère lab, Babraham Institute (2015–2018) · researcher, Institute for Ageing and Health, Newcastle University

Dalle Pezze built the mathematical models in two Atlas studies done with Kathrin Thedieck's experimental group. In 2012, working at Newcastle University's Institute for Ageing and Health, he was first author of the data-fitted dynamic model of the insulin–mTOR network that showed mTORC2 is not regulated by TSC1-TSC2 (DAL2012). In 2016 he was first author of the systems study showing that amino acids switch on AMPK and mTOR together (DAL2016); that model is deposited in BioModels.
From 2015 to 2018 he was a postdoc in Nicolas Le Novère's lab at the Babraham Institute, modelling early autophagosome formation and writing parameter-estimation software. Per theorg.com he later moved into genomics software and works at Genomics England.
