What the Atlas is
Oliver's mTOR Atlas is an independent, non-commercial research and education resource curated by Oliver Barton, Prague. It summarises published research on the mTOR pathway and labels each study by the kind of evidence behind it. It is free to use and needs no account.
Licences
- Data and text are licensed under CC BY 4.0. You may copy, adapt and reuse them, including commercially, if you credit the Atlas. How to cite it is on Data & citation.
- Code, including the MCP server, is released under the MIT licence in the project repository.
- Titles, abstracts and findings of the studies themselves belong to their authors and publishers. The Atlas links to the original papers; read them before relying on a result.
Not medical advice
Nothing in the Atlas, its API or its MCP server is medical advice, diagnosis or a recommendation to take or stop any drug, supplement or diet. Many findings come from cells or animals and have not been shown in people; the evidence code on every study says which. Talk to a doctor about any health decision.
Fair use of the API and MCP server
- Use them for reading and analysing the data. Do not try to disrupt them, overload them with automated traffic far beyond normal use, or get around their limits.
- For bulk work, download the complete exports from Data & citation instead of calling every endpoint.
- The services may be rate-limited, changed or switched off at any time. Versioned API paths
(
/api/v1/) are kept stable as described on the API page, but there is no guaranteed uptime.
No warranty, limited liability
The Atlas is provided “as is”. It is curated with care, but entries can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and the corpus covers a selection of the literature, not all of it. To the extent the law allows, the curator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the Atlas, its API or its MCP server.
AI assistants
When an AI assistant uses the Atlas through the MCP server, the assistant writes the final answer. Check the cited study IDs and the original papers before you rely on what it says. What the server receives and keeps is described on the Privacy page.
