Ruizhao Wang is a PhD candidate in Kiryl Piatkevich's lab at Westlake University, working on fluorescent-protein-based tools for recording how signaling pathways change over time inside living cells. In WANG2026C, the team engineered a multiplexed 'ticker tape' biosensor platform and, applying an mTOR-specific version of it, independently observed cell-cycle-dependent oscillating mTOR activity — a new, orthogonal confirmation of the same pattern JOS2024 first reported using a completely different method.
