Chunting Zhang
Contributed to a study showing that the lncRNA LINP1 protects irradiated skin cells from senescence by disrupting the mTOR–p53 interaction
Occupational health & radiation biology researcher · Southern Medical University, China
Chunting Zhang is based in the Department of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine at Southern Medical University's School of Public Health. She co-authored the 2026 paper identifying the long non-coding RNA LINP1 as a radioprotective factor in skin: after radiation exposure, LINP1 physically binds the FAT domain of mTOR and blocks its interaction with p53, reducing p53 activation and holding off radiation-induced cellular senescence in keratinocytes.
