Antoine Fraissenon
Paediatric radiologist who works on vascular anomalies and PIK3CA-related overgrowth
Pediatric and Fetal Imaging, Hospices Civils de Lyon · INSERM U1151
Antoine Fraissenon is a paediatric radiologist in the Fetal and Pediatric Imaging department and the reference centre for superficial vascular anomalies at Hôpital Femme Mère Enfant, Hospices Civils de Lyon. He is also affiliated with INSERM U1151 at the Institut Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris. He was first author of a 2026 radiological natural-history study of the PIK3CA-related overgrowth spectrum.
In the Atlas he is senior author of GUIB2026, a series of six pregnancies in which the mother took sirolimus to treat a large lymphatic malformation in the fetus. The lesions shrank partly or markedly in five of the six newborns, and the drug crossed the placenta. With only six cases and no comparison group, this shows feasibility, not proof that the treatment works.
