Department of Pediatric Surgery · West China Hospital, Sichuan University
Yi Ji works in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at West China Hospital, Sichuan University, in Chengdu. A 2022 hospital news item lists him as Associate Professor and describes his team's work on sirolimus-based treatment of kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE), a rare vascular tumour of children, including a Blood paper on sirolimus plus steroids for KHE with the Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon.
In the Atlas he is senior author of XU2026. In 71 children with KHE but without the Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon, sirolimus alone gave a 100% radiological response at 12 months for head and neck lesions, against 76% for lesions elsewhere.
