Lingjun Lu is a PhD student in Ioannis Androulakis' systems-biology group at Rutgers, working on computational models of how the liver's circadian clock is entrained by diet. In LU2026, she built a semi-mechanistic model in which mTORC1 and the GCN2-integrated stress response are driven by the rhythm of essential amino acid availability across the day, rather than by a single average nutrient level, and used it to predict how a disrupted feeding schedule delays the clock's recovery.
